January 2016 setup update…

Just a quick post with a video of my updated Traveler’s Notebook Planner setup for January 2016.

I also made some adjustments to the insert listings on Etsy and added a range of lovely designer covers to choose from for you notebook covers or folders.

I hope I made the ordering process easier, by removing the separate listings for each size and style and have condensed the insert listings to:

  • MOTP-WOTP combo insert, with either a listing for a design cover or a listing for a plain card-stock
  • WOTP or MOTP insert, with either a listing for a design cover or a listing for a plain card-stock
  • Bullet journal insert, with either a listing for a design cover or a listing for a plain card-stock
  • Notes Insert, plain/grid/lined/dot-grid/cross-grid, with either a listing for a design cover or a listing for a plain card-stock

I now also have the folders with either a listing for a design cover or a listing for a plain card-stock, with or without pen-loops.

All the diary styles are shown here on my Diaries explained page and you can also find the color options for the diaries there. Continue reading

New diary style… I’m calling it Grunge..

I needed a new diary for my Personal size Traveler’s Notebook, since the old one was only to the end of September … Somehow it escaped me that October had already come and I still didn’t have a new diary for my every day carry …. What is a girl to do in a situation like that….

I already had an idea for a new style diary, I just never came round to actually making it. Making new templates always takes more time than you would anticipate. Which of course is the reason I’ve been putting making the new diary for my EDC off. However now I could no longer do that, it was now, or just use one of the existing templates

I really wanted the new design, because I wanted it to go with the new paper I now offer as covers for my inserts …

So I made myself a new lay-out. Building on the modern style I already offer, changed a bit, added a bit, went for a bit of color and now I have a super cute Grunge style diary Continue reading

How I’m using my Traveler’s Notebooks at the moment

A year has passed since I made my first leather Traveler’s Notebook and I’ve been using this sytem now for well over a year.

I’ve been making my own diaries and inserts right from the start and have adapted the system to suit my needs. I’ve used several different lay-outs and setups through-out this period, but I think I have now found a setup that works exactly how I like it.

I have 4 RS TN’s for different purposes, one for work, one for art journaling, one for my Etsy store and one personal journal and diary/agenda. I also have a Fieldnotes sized TN for lists and keeping track of online orders and a small Passport sized one that I use as a wallet.

At first I used a setup with a MOTP, a WOTP and a daily diary with a chronodex adaptation to fit a 24 hr day. As time progressed and I was slowly overcoming the symptoms of my burn-out, I found I didn’t need a full daily page to keep track of what I was doing. I did however want to keep at least a page per week.

Xmas presents

A very short post from me today, to show that I’m still alive (and kicking).

I’ve been really busy building the content for my little Etsy shop, which is now starting to look like a real shop. I’m really proud with how it’s all starting to come together. Still not completely there yet, but people do seem to start noticing it and are buying Traveler’s Notebooks. So I’m happy about that.

It does mean I have less time for other things, especially with the holidays planning and presents for the people I love. Still I thought I’d share one of the presents I made for them. I can’t show the rest yet, because, well, that would spoil the surprise =)

I made a new agenda for my mother. It took me forever and a day to complete, because neither word, nor the printer wanted to cooperate with me. But I made it and shared the files on my Midori TN free inserts page for those of you who would like to make their own.

Here are a few pictures of the content….ok, maybe not so short after all…

New diary insert for my Travelers Notebook

This weekend I just wasn’t in the mood to do anything difficult, so I decided I would finally make myself a decent diary insert for my work Travelers Notebook. Yesterday evening, after we watched Alien, well you have to show the classics to your kids, don’t you, I set out to adapt a file so it would fit my needs.

Today I made it into a little booklet.
I kept it fairly plain, as it is for work, but I’m very happy with how it turned out.
The diary itself is a little different from what you usually see, as the normal week on two pages wasn’t working for me and the normal day per page diary’s don’t work for me either. So I made a combination.
